Random vs Evil Anatomy

Rahndoms feet smacked the ground as he ran down the black-top trail.  Panting, he glanced at his watch. 12:20! He scolded himself for getting off to such a late start and picked up his pace.  Of all days, why’d he have to be late now!  Suddenly the wind picked up, causing his t-shirt to flap and knocking him slightly off balance.  Quickly catching himself, Rahndom sprinted the last hundred yards.  The sun was high in the sky today and he was beginning to sweat.
Ugh, he thought, shouldn’t of worn jeans.
Trees flashed past on his right as he neared his point in the path.  Upon reaching his destination, he stopped and bent over gasping for breath.  Slowly regaining his wind, Rahndom brought his head up and looked around for any sign of life. No one in sight.  After double checking the area around him to make sure no one was watching, he turned and darted into the trees.

To anyone else walking down the path, the forest might have seemed an endless maze of twigs and thorn, but to Rahndom it was his playground.  He’d been exploring these woods ever since he was little, and he’d found many fascinating secrets, one of which he was running towards.  Not more than thirty seconds had passed since he had entered the woods when Rahndom saw a distinct light up ahead.  His mind raced as he thought about what he was about to do, but only had the slightest hesitation before leaping into the light and bursting into a hidden clearing.

“Your late.” Someone said.

“Aren’t I always?” Rahndom retorted, letting his eyes adjust to the light so he could see who was talking to him, even though he knew the voice by heart.  Slowly, as the white was drained from his world, Rahndom spotted a single figure standing with him in the clearing.  He was of slightly less than average height, making him a little shorter than Rahndom, with brown hair and a good build.  He had on a t-shirt and jeans, just like Rahndom, except his shirt was black.

“Isn’t that shirt making you hot?” asked Rahndom.
“I’m sure I can deal with it” replied Evil Anatomy, casually shrugging his shoulders.
Looking down, Rahndom noticed a white streak shining against the green grass.
“I see you’ve already got the circle ready” he said, looking back up.
“Yeah” replied Evil Anatomy, motioning to a spray paint bottle laying at the edge of the clearing, “I had to do something while I was waiting for you. What do you got in the bag?”
“Oh this, just some water and band aids, you’ll need ‘em later”.
“Ha ha, very funny, but we both know you’ll need them more than me.”
“Well,” Rahndom said, setting down the bag and stepping into the ring, opposite Evil Anatomy, “There’s only one way to find out.”

Evil Anatomy just grinned and nodded.  They’d been planning this fight for a good month now, but were never sure where to do it.  Then one day, Rahndom had shown Evil Anatomy this place, and they had set a date.  No more padding or cushion, no more holding back, they wanted to see who the better fighter was once and for all.

Without warning, Rahndom dashed forward, not even bothering to get into a fighting stance.  Evil Anatomy barely had time to bring his hands out of his pockets before Random was upon him.  Rahndom, confident at catching Evil Anatomy off guard, threw a punch aimed at his chest, stiffening his arm for contact. But nothing happened.  Evil Anatomy was no longer there.  Out of the corner of his eye, Rahndom saw a blur coming towards him and turned just in time to catch Evil Anatomy’s fist in his left hand.  Reacting quickly, Random punched with his free hand towards Evil Anatomy’s head only to have it caught in the same manner.

“You’ve gotten quicker,” acknowledged Random, holding his place.
“Smarter too,” said Evil Anatomy as he yanked Rahndom’s arms downward, while at the same time bringing his left knee up.  Shocked, but still able to think, Rahndom twitched his neck enough to narrowly avoid having his head bashed in by Evil Anatomy’s knee and ended in a crouched position next to Evil Anatomy’s right leg.  Trying to avoid being locked below, Rahndom thrust forward, connecting his head with Evil Anatomy’s right knee cap, cause him to release his grip on Rahndom’s writsts and fall backwards.

Quickly rolling, Evil Anatomy jumped to his feet to find Rahndom already closing in with a well aimed round kick to his face.  Without thinking, Evil Anatomy bent down, dodging Rahndom’s foot, and grabbed Rahndom’s other leg, tossing him over his back.  Rahndom hit the ground hard and stars burst across his vision as his head hit a hard patch of dirt.  Looking to the side Random saw the white spray painted line right next to his face!  Looking back up, Rahndom felt a large amount of air leave his lungs as Evil Anatomy landed, knees first, on Rahndom’s stomach, leaning forward and baring off Rahndom airway with his forearm.  “You can tap out now” he said smugly, taunting Rahndom with a smile.
I can’t lose this quick! thought Rahndom, desperately looking for a way out.
Suddenly, he thought of something.
“Well?” Evil Anatomy said, watching Rahndom’s face turn red, “Are you gonna tap out or wha-“ but was suddenly interrupted as Rahndom bucked his hips, knocking Evil Anatomy up high enough off his stomach so he could bring his knees to his chest.  Then, as soon as Evil Anatomy landed back on his bent legs, he pushed up with all his might and threw Evil Anatomy off him and over his head.

“I’m not done… *cough* … just yet” gasped Rahndom, trying to gather air, and slowly standing up.  “How about… we forget about these limits,” Rahndom continued, rubbing out part of the white circle with his shoe.
“Have it your way.” replied Evil Anatomy, “But you do realize that I’ll just have to knock you out now.”
I haven't done any writing in a while, and I wanted to practice writing action so I threw this together last night.

Hope you like. :D

I disagree, Emerald; anybody can beat anyone on any given day with a given amount of luck. :)
